Dr. Ghosh has been a banker, researcher, management consultant, author, trainer, teacher and an administrator.
Dr. Ghosh was awarded Ph. D. degree in Financial Management by the University of Pune, India in 1983. He has a Masters degree in Business Administration and is the Certified Associate of The Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). Also, he is the Certified Corporate Director (World Council, London).
Dr. Ghosh has worked in Europe, Oman, UAE, and India in the government and private sectors. He has over 34 years experience in varied fields and worked in various senior positions such as
- Acting Director General in a reputed Government Education, Training and Research Institute in Muscat, Oman
- Director of Training and Development in a private organization in the UAE,
- Professor of Finance, Head of Department(Accounting, and
- Senior Lecturer for various UK/US/Canadian Universities and professional institutes.
Dr. Ghosh worked as an officer and also as a faculty at the Staff Training Center of Central Bank of India, which is one of the largest commercial banks in India.
As a Professor of Finance and Management, Dr. Ghosh has taught the MBA programs of prestigious UK/US universities such as Strathclyde University (UK), University of Wales, (UK), and Newport University, (USA). He has taught the Degree Programs of the University of Missouri (Rolla), USA. He has also taught the professional courses such as ACCA, (UK) and Securities Institutes (UK). Some of his students have secured the highest marks in these exams. He has taught the Degree, Post Graduate and MBA Programs of Pune University and has also been the Research Guide for the PH. D. program in "Business Management" of Pune University. He has guided four international students for the Ph. D. program. At present Dr. Ghosh is the Research Supervisor (Guide) for the Ph. D. program in Management of BITS Pilani, Rajastan and is guiding a Professor who is postgraduate from IIT.
A research paper by Dr. Ghosh and others on "Women Enterpreneurship" was accepted and publised at the 50th World Conference of the International Council for Small Business held at Washington D.C. USA in June 2005 and Dr. Ghosh was invited to present his paper.
Dr. Ghosh also presented his papers at the "World Congress on Total Quality 2005" on "Quality in Education Sector" at Mumbai (India) in January 2005. He presented another research paper at the Central Bank of Oman on "Nursing and Rehabilitation of Sick Industrial Small & Medium Enterprises in the Sultanate" in May 2004. A research paper on "New Concept in Bank Lending" was published at the World Services Congress held at Altanta, Georgia, USA in 1999 and Dr. Ghosh participated in it. His latest researches are on "Preventing ATM Frauds through New Technology" and on "Cashless Society".
Dr. Ghosh has conducted over 200 seminars and short courses in various fields like Banking, Finance, Accounting, HRM and General management in the UAE, Oman, Cyprus and India. His participants include His Excellency - The Executive President, Vice Presidents, Director Generals, General Managers, Deputy General managers from Government organizations, Central banks, Commercial banks and Financial Institutions, Oil Companies, various Industries, and other Private sectors. All his seminars and short courses have been rated as "Excellent" till date.
Dr. Ghosh has been the co-author of eight books - 3 books in Cost Accounting, Business Enterpreneurship, Business Communication, Office Management, Management Perceptions, and Secretarial Practice.
Dr. Ghosh was also the Project Consultant for Small Industries, Government of India, Resourse Person on the National Pool of Experts, New Delhi, India and Examiner for Professional examinations.
Dr. Ghosh has been the visiting faculty for the MBA programs of many prestigous Institutes.
Dr. Ghosh has been the member of the World Association of Trainers in Development, Washington D.C., USA.
